My Zhena

The Memories

The first I saw you, a glimpse so true,
In the counseling room, that moment flew.
A sideward glance, your eyes so bright,
I fell for you—love at first sight.

But sadness stirred, a twist in play,
I was in a relationship with another girl that day.
Yet still I searched, through crowds and days,
For you, in silent, distant ways.

On orientation, I saw you standing,
Outside the audi, denim-clad and grand.
Black jeans below, short hair above,
But I thought then—you’re not the one I'd love.

Too modern, too bold, not quite my style,
So I moved on, walked that thought a mile.

In previous relationship, bond broke, conflicts grew,
I chose silence—what else was there to do?
Never did I think, in all that swirl,
That I’d end up with the previous love.

Yet months passed by, the story turned,
A lesson in how destiny's learned.
For everything happens, a reason behind,
The unexpected is life—unplanned, unlined.

As nature says—expect the unexpected,
Paths once crossed may be reconnected.

I never thought I would tie with you,
But it happened—for life, for love, for true.
